This was a set I originally shot for Zivity before they went under and before I hung up my camera. The set didn’t really get much notice on that site, seeing as it was set up as kind of an early Only Fans site, it makes sense. There’s no nudity in this set so it got no fans and earned no income. I really liked the way these images came out. This was one of the last, if not THE last set I shot, way back in 2014. I figured it would therefore be a good set to kickstart a new blog.
Almost everything has changed since then. Life’s moved on, I stopped and then re-started shooting, though I moved onto real estate as my primary focus. I’ve shot hundreds of buildings, large and small, residential and commercial, owned by nobodies and celebs. It’s been a good niche for me. I enjoy the solitude in shooting an empty, staged home. I can put on music and sing along to my heart’s content while getting my work done and at the end of the day I have beautiful photos to show for it.
COVID has come and is mostly finally gone. I’m ending my 14th year in Los Angeles and I’m ready for some big changes. It’s a bit nerve-wracking, but I’m packing up the cats and the cameras and heading to greener forests. Come January, I’ll be making a permanent move to Washington state. I can’t wait for the change of scenery and temperatures. I’m imagining that jagged, tree-touched skyline with a snowy mountain off in the distance. I’ll be taking some work with me and I’ve lined up additional work for when I get up there. I’ll also be looking at restarting cosplay and portraiture. I miss the joy of creating art and while real estate photography is great, it’s not the kind of art I’m hankering for.
Cheers to 2023. You can’t come fast enough!
